Please both keep and leave the cottage in a clean and tidy condition and report any damage or breakages to us. We may, at our sole discretion, require payment from you to cover any associated costs.
We may, again, at our sole discretion, refuse to hand over to you, or repossess the property if we reasonably believe there is likely to be, or has been, damage to the cottage or its contents or a nuisance to farm livestock.
If such circumstances should occur only the relevant portion of the rental charge will be refunded and we will not be liable for any associated costs or expenses.
Please note that, for the convenience of other guests, SMOKING IS NOT PERMITTED in the cottage. Due to the proximity of farm animals NO PETS ARE ALLOWED.
The balance of the rental payment is due six weeks before the start date. Late bookings require advance payment in full. All payments will be made using card details you have provided, unless you inform us otherwise.
The property may only accommodate a maximum of four adults, two children up to the age of 10 and a child of age and/or size suitable to safely occupy a travel cot.
Should you wish to invite friends to the property please let us know in advance, both in case of an emergency and for our own peace of mind. At no time may the number of visitors exceed the number the property sleeps unless with our consent.
The use of candles is not permitted anywhere in Hareley Barn.
You must allow us or any workmen access to the property at any reasonable time, except in cases of emergency or where a problem needs remedying quickly and you can’t be contacted in time – in such a situation we reserve the right to enter the property at any time without giving you prior notice.
The party leader must be at least 18 years of age at the time of booking.
If any payment you make is not honoured for any reason whatsoever we will cancel the booking.
If you use the broadband facilities of Hareley Barn you agree that neither you nor other guests will use the service for illegal purposes.
We don’t expect to have to make any changes to your booking but occasionally problems may occur and bookings have to be changed or cancelled. If this does happen we will contact you as soon as possible to offer alternative arrangements. If the alternatives offered are unacceptable we will refund any monies paid so far. No additional compensation, expenses or other sums will be payable to you. Rental periods begin at 4:00 p.m. on the day of arrival and end at 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure.

The cover provided to guests by Rental Guardian ceases for bookings made after 7th January 2021. For bookings made after 8th January 2021 we recommend guests take out cancellation insurance.
In the case ONLY of a full National Lockdown and/or the address on the booking form being placed by Government into a Tier which has a Do Not Travel restriction placed on it a full refund will be made. This does NOT cover guests falling ill with Covid (or any other illness), for a requirement to self-isolate or quarantine, or for a Track-and-Trace alert preventing them from travelling, and it is for these possible occurrences that we recommend guests taking out their own suitable travel insurance. Any cancellation must be received in writing.
Your statutory rights are not affected by anything contained within these terms and conditions.
